ShareRing’s February 2020 Newsletter!

For those who missed it, welcome to the late February ShareRing newsletter, where we provide updates on all things ShareRing!

Launch update:

We’re very happy to announce that Apple has finally approved the new test submission that ShareRing recently submitted! Following on from this, we plan to coincide ShareRing’s app launch with our mainnet on March 8th.

At this point in time, our team is currently making some minor backend changes to ensure stability. The team is also focusing on getting our various PoC under NDAs started to ensure our TX volume exceeds expectations.

General updates:

This month ShareRing opened our new office in Thailand! The new office is called the PS tower, it is a 35-story high-rise banking and financial building in Bangkok, Thailand. The PS tower itself is home to numerous titans in a range of industries across Thailand.

This is exciting as it provides ShareRing with the opportunity to establish great relationships with these firms, which can potentially develop into partnerships in the future. 

Some of the companies with offices inside the PS tower include:

Qatar Airways – Qatar Airways links over 150 international destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe, The Americas, and Oceania from its base at Hamad International Airport, using a fleet of more than 200 aircrafts. 

The International Commercial Bank of China – Net income of US$ 458 billion, the bank’s total workforce is over 5,100 and its aggregate paid-in capital is approximately NT$64.1 billion.

Beyond Study – Beyond Study offers free-of-charge education consultancies services in Australia and New Zealand, from providing information of institutions, school enrolment, visa application, and orientation. Moreover, they offer assistance with IELTS registration and preparation, tourist visa application, flight booking, and insurance coverage.

VFS Global – VFS Global, also known as “Visa Facilitation Services Global,” is an outsourcing and technology services company that serves governments and diplomatic missions worldwide. VFS, alongside ShareRing’s partner Gateway Services, holds the sole licenses to provide Thailands new eVOA service.

Additionally, ShareRing’s new 2020 roadmap is almost ready, with lots of exciting announcements featured within. More details to be announced soon!

Partnership update:

In terms of partnerships, February has been a tremendous month for ShareRing. Tim has been travelling for meetings all across Europe and Thailand, securing PoC with multiple NDA projects. 

Heres a few sneak peeks of Tim’s meeting with them at their impressive office in Thailand!

We are currently drafting the marketing plan to announce these partnerships after our mainnet and app launch on March 8th. 

In addition, ShareRing has worked closely with the teams at VeChain, Nano and Tron to implement their coins on the ShareRing app. As a result, VET, TRX and NANO will be available as payment options as soon as we launch on March 8th!

VeChain joins the ShareRing Ecosystem; allowing hotels, car rentals, tours, eVOA applications, insurance and so much more to be purchased with VET!

Nano – ShareRing’s New Payment Method
ShareRing was thrilled to announce our partnership with Nano back in December. With this partnership, Nano users will be able to use their favourite coin to pay for flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, eVOA applications, insurance and much more!

Tron (TRX) – ShareRing’s New Payment Method
Tron wins ShareRing’s first community coin competition, this partnership enables Tron holders to use their favourite coin to pay for flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, eVOA applications, insurance and much more!

Sales update:

Rohan, COO, returned from Vietnam last week. Here he was working closely with the ShareRing dev team, bringing the launch up to speed and fine-tuning the back end.

Development update:

The team is keen to launch as we move past the challenges of app approval. This month has been very busy for the development team and lots of improvements to the app and backend have been made. While our talks with Apple have been long, they have also been extremely valuable, with many improvements made to the app as a result of their expertise.

Completed development tasks:
– Integrated Intercom to the ShareRing app to support messaging.
– General improvements to the functionality of the ShareRing app.
– Fixed a number of small bugs and errors in the ShareRing app.
– Improvements to the eVOA and OneID flow
Ongoing development tasks:
– Prepare to build the merchant platform
– Implement activities to the ShareRing app
– Improve various app features

Marketing Update:

This month the marketing team has been hard at work preparing ShareRing’s new email newsletter layout. We hope you like it!

Furthermore, there will be new additions to the website very soon! These new pages will concentrate on some of ShareRing’s largest use-cases, as well as travel.
